Pescado a la crema

Ingredients:

  • 4 white fish fillets no salmon
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • ½ a white onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp of dill
  • 1 tbsp of white vinegar
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • the juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp of butter

Directions:

Place the chopped onion in a strainer and give it a rinse to remove some of it's strong flavor. In a glass bowl add the onion, juice of 1 lemon, vinegar, dill, cover and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. Mix the sour cream and the marinaded onion together and add a pinch of salt to taste.

Season the fish fillets with pepper, garlic powder, and salt to taste. In a large pan or skillet melt the butter on medium heat and cook the fish fillets until you get a light golden crust on each side. Cook for about 7 to 10 minutes turning the fillets only once.

Once the fillets are cooked serve on individual plates and top each one with the sour cream and onion marinade.

Serving suggestion:
Serve immediately after cooking. Serve with white rice on the side and baked potato, green salad, or steamed vegetables, or guacamole, or beans. Warm flour or corn tortillas.
