Torta Cubana is Mexican, the only thing Cuban is the name.

(for 2)

  • 2 strips of bacon
  • 2 thin beef steaks
  • 2 slices of ham
  • 2 fried eggs
  • 2 beef franks
  • 2 slices of  American cheese
  • lettuce thinly sliced  
  • 2 torta or telera bread
  • 1 tomato thinly sliced
  • ½ avocado sliced 
  • 1 small onion thinly sliced
  • mayonnaise
  • pickled jalapeños
  • butter
  • salt & pepper to taste
 
 
Directions:
Cut your telera bread in 1/2  and spread a little butter on both sides.  Season the 2 steaks with salt & pepper. On a hot griddle cook the steaks, eggs, ham, franks, onions, and toast the bread.  When your bread has been toasted,   spread the  mayonaise on the 2 slices of bread.
On the bottom bread layer, beef, egg, ham, cheese, franks, lettuce, tomato, bacon,and on the top bread spread the avocado slices and top the torta.
